- safely stores 6 rods & reels
- free standing storage rack
- handcrafted from Aspen log and Pine
Display and protect your favorite fishing rods and reels! The Fishing Rod Stand is made from solid 2-inch Eastern White pine and Aspen logs. It is 21" W x 10-3/4" D x 9-1/2" H.
The holder is made with two Eastern White Pine semi-circle pieces separated by an Aspen log about 5-1/2" in diameter; and this sits on 4 "beaver-chewed" log feet. The top piece has holes cut-thru to keep the rods in place and steady them. The bottom piece has 1-1/4" diameter holes (not cut-thru) to keep the rods off the floor.
The decorative element you see on the outside edge of the two semi-circles is Aspen Log. This technique is done by splitting small Aspen logs and fitting them to the edges.
We use furniture grade Eastern White Pine which is one of the most stable pines available and is widely used for making furniture. We harvest from dead-standing Colorado Aspen trees to get logs that have their own unique character with natural checking, worm holes and other distress caused by nature.
All of our Aspen Log line is produced from logs that have reached Equilibrium moisture content (EMC). That means it is stable and will not continue to change (the checking or cracking) in a controlled environment like the inside your home.

Designed by Randy Rasmussen. His inspiration is Thomas Molesworth, a western furniture maker of the 1930’s whose legacy is timeless cowboy and western furniture decor.
Using Aspen logs which are hand-peeled and then split, enhances the natural warm tones of the Aspen. Randy’s technique of applying the “half-log pickets” requires hand fitting of each piece to create a pattern of color and texture.
